Apply to Lone Star College through Apply Texas
(May take up to 2 days to receive the LSC ID required to complete the next steps)
Set up MyLoneStar account (link)
Complete Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) & Submit LSC ID & PAA Certificate to Student Link (link)
Once all of the above are complete: Complete DC Course Request Form (link)

Payment Instructions
Log in to MyLoneStar and verify that all your fall classes are listed correctly. If everything looks correct, you can go ahead and make your payment.

Step 2: Review Textbook (STAR Bundle) Charges
Textbook bundle fees (the STAR Bundle) are automatically added to your account at $24 per credit hour. Most DC teachers provide required materials, so you may want to opt out of the STAR Bundle to remove these charges.
Important:
Opting out does not remove the charges immediately—it may take 1–2 days for your account to update.
If you plan to opt out, subtract the textbook fees from your total before paying.

Step 3: Calculate Your Payment
The cost for dual credit courses is $43 per credit hour. (Tuition is waived; students are responsible only for fees.)
Examples:
English DC - 3 credit hours x $43 = $129
Anatomy DC - 4 credit hours x $43 = $172
To calculate your total:
Add up your course credit hours × $43.
Subtract STAR Bundle charges if you plan to opt out. (Credit hours x $24)

Be sure to double check all of your classes and calculate how much you should owe to avoid overpaying.
Spring Semester Only Courses
Please note the following classes do not require fall payment. These are full year classes at TMHS, but you only register and pay in the spring semester for college credit: College Algebra and Business Management DC.
We will register and pay for spring semester courses in December 2026.
