The following steps are for students who are new to dual credit. You must attend a student meeting before starting these enrollment steps.

Step 1: Apply to Lone Star College
(For NEW to DC students ONLY)
This step will take 2 to 3 days to complete.
Please note: On Feb. 21, 2025, students who have not submitted their LSC ID or applied to LSC will have dual credit courses removed from their course requests.

Once you receive your LSC ID, set up your MyLoneStar account.
Monitor your student email, and wait for confirmation and further instructions from Mrs. Phelan.
Priority Deadline Feb. 6 - Early deadline to submit Google form with LSC ID & Course Requests
Will be able to register early for TSI test
Must apply to Lone Star College by Feb. 4th to meet this deadline. It takes 2 days to receive your LSC ID after you apply.
Will then be able to set up account to complete Pre-Assessment Activity
Final Deadline Feb. 21- to submit Google form with LSC ID & Course Requests. Students who have not submitted LSC ID and course requests will have dual credit courses removed from their course requests.
After this deadline, Mrs. Phelan will review all submissions and follow up with testing information.
Step 2: Determine Qualification/Eligibility
Test scores are required for dual credit courses. There are multiple exams that can be used to qualify or be eligible. First, you will need to know which dual credit courses you would like to take next year.
Next, you’ll need to determine if you already have qualifying or eligible test scores. Review the requirements for each course, as some have different test score requirements. Score requirements are broken down in two ways for you below.

First Time TSI Testing Instructions
If you have never taken the TSI at Lone Star College, your first time testing is free.
Mrs. Phelan will automatically request vouchers for all first time test takers that submit their course request form by Feb. 6th
You will have between now and May 2nd to achieve qualifying scores for the DC courses you have requested. Do not put off testing. Some students may need to test several times.
Be sure you have set up your MyLoneStar account. (Details can be found at the end of the application instructions HERE).
Be sure you have completed the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) and have submitted your certificate of completion to the Course Requests form.

Step 3: Complete and Submit Dual Credit Registration Forms

Step 4: Dual Credit Fee Payment
