Core Classes
Each 9th grade student at Tomball High School must have 4 core classes.
English I / English I TAP
Algebra I / Algebra I TAP or Geometry TAP (Algebra I is prerequisite) or Algebra II TAP (Geometry is prerequisite)
Biology I / Biology I TAP
World Geography / World Geography TAP or Human Geography AP
In Tomball, you have the choice of either on level or Tomball Advanced Program (TAP) core courses. In high school students also can have the choice of taking Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Credit (DC) course.

Information regarding Elective options can be found in the Tomball ISD High School Course Catalog and Selection Guide. The Career and Technical Education Programs of Study Pathways can be found on page 4 of the CTE Planning Guide. Incoming ninth graders will choose courses in the Level 1 column.
Off-Campus PE: Click the link to see details and access the applications. An approved site and qualifying hours outside of the school day are essential. There is a deadline. This process is completed at the district level and the THS counselors and coaches do not make the determination.
