The Wildcat Band program consists of over 400 students in grades 6 through 8. Band members begin in the 6th grade at Northpointe Intermediate School, where they meet in like-instrument classes during the school day. Students then continue their musical journey at Willow Wood JH in one of four performing ensembles.

One of the largest student organizations in Tomball ISD, the Wildcat Band has established a tradition of excellence in performance. Ensembles consistently earn Superior ratings in concert and sightreading in UIL contests, and bands have been named as Best in Class in a number of other contests and festivals. The Honor Band was recognized as a National Winner, the highest award, in the 2019 and 2023 Mark of Excellence competitions, sponsored by the Foundation for Music Education.

The band staff consists of Director of Bands Debra Vandergriff and assistant band directors Dawn Melton and Makaela Martinez. Katie McEntyre is the lead band teacher at Northpointe Intermediate School.
