Coach Rush is in his 39th year of coaching and his 30th year as a head high school baseball coach. This is his 13th season at Tomball High School. Before that he was a head coach at Spring High School, Waller High School, Killeen Ellison High School and an assistant at Denton High School, Lee College, and Alvin High School. Tomball has advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs or better in every season except one in which they were defeated in the 2nd round. They won the state championship in 2013 and went back to the state tournament in 2015.
A former D1 4-year starter on the mound, Rush entered coaching in 1986. He has 560 career wins and numerous coach of the year awards at the district, regional, and state levels. Rush has been a regional director for the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association on two occasions and was also a regional director for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. He has also been honored to coach in the all-star games for the Houston Area and Texas High School Baseball Coaches Associations.
Coach Rush is married to Sara who is a principal at Oakcrest Intermediate in Tomball. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Coach Rush and his family are active at Faithbridge Church in Spring, Texas.
Coach Tidwell has been coaching for 21 years, 5 of those at Tomball. He play collegiately at UT-Arlington & UMHB. He has a wife, Lindsey, and a daughter, Quinn in 6th grade. Coach Tidwell was a head coach for 13 years at previous schools. When he's not at the baseball field he loves working in the yard, and riding his bike.
Coach Heck is in his 23rd year of coaching and his 11th here at Tomball. He played college baseball and was team captain at Sul Ross State University. Coach Heck was formerly the head baseball coach at West, TX and was also the head football coach at Hubbard, TX. His other coaching stops include Tarkington, Kaufman, Kingsville, and Haltom. Coach is married to his wife Jenny who is a teacher at Creekside Forest elementary and they have two children, Sofia, who's an 8th grader, and Gehrig who is a junior and plays outfield for the Cougars.
Coach Allan is in his 28th year at Tomball ISD. He's also a proud 1989 graduate of Tomball High School. Coach Allan has been a part of the Tomball baseball program for 11 years. He has also coached football, basketball, track and cross country at Tomball Junior high for the past 28 years. Coach had a 10 year stint where he was coaching softball at Tomball High School also. He married to his wife, XXX, who has also been teaching for 28 years. Coach Allan has two sons, Jacob, who is a former Cougar player, teaches and coaches at Klein Cain, and XXX The other one is sure to follow.
Coach Wilson is entering his 11th year Teaching and Coaching. With this being his 4th year here at THS. He had prior Coaching stops at Mayde Creek and Cleveland. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School and Texas Tech University. He has been Married to his wife Lauren Wilson for 3 years and they just welcomed their daughter Piper into the world in November 2022. He also, serves as the Head Freshman Football Coach here at THS.
Coach Coover has been married to Trisha Coover for 5 years and have 2 beautiful daughters, Charlotte (3 years old) and Catherine (2 years old). He played baseball and graduated from Bowie High School in 2002 where he was the 2002 5A State Runner-Up. After high school he was an all conference player at Navarro College before finishing his college career up at McNeese State University. Coach Coover has 16 years of teaching and coaching experience with the last 5 being here at Tomball.
