5/15/2024 Tolland 2 Middletown 1
Tolland picks up win #8 with a 2-1 victory at Middletown! Chase Anderson went 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R (0 ER), 3 Ks and Will Restall got his first varsity win with 2 innings of relief (3Ks). Scott Busch drove in Corey Culhane with 2 outs in the top of the 7th to give the Eagles the lead.
5/13/2024 Windsor 10 Tolland 9
For the fourth straight day, this game ends in a walk-off, today in the form of a 10-9 loss at Windsor. Christian Steiner went 6 IP, 4 ER and 5 K, with 2 RBIs at the plate. Every Eagle had at least one hit; Evan Clark, Ethan Schwarz and Corey Culhane each had 2 in the loss.
5/6/2024 Avon 8 Tolland 7
After trailing 6-2 entering the 7th, Tolland rallied to take a 7-6 lead, but failed to hold the lead and Avon walked it off 8-7. Scott Busch went 5, giving up just 3 hits and 2 ERs. Ethan Schwarz led the offense with his first varsity HR and a clutch 2 RBI double.
5/2/2024 Ellington 4 Tolland 11
Tolland finishes the week with an 11-4 victory over Ellington! Corey Culhane went 5IP, 1 ER and 6 Ks, while going 2-3, with 3 runs scored at the plate. Ethan Schwarz (3 RBIs) and Evan Clark both went 3-3, while Scott Busch added 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBIs of his own!
4/29/2024 Bristol Eastern 8 Tolland 5
Tolland drops the first of three this week 8-5 to Bristol Eastern. The Eagles trailed 8-0 after 4, and battled to put up 5 over the next two frames, but the comeback fell short. Scott Busch had two hits and 2 stolen bases. Jeremy Blanchard pitched two shutout innings.
4/26/2024 Tolland 11 EO Smith 4
The Eagles get back on track with an 11-4 win over EO Smith. (‘26)Corey Culhane picked up his first varsity win on the mound and added a clutch RBI single. (‘25)Evan Clark, (‘26)Mason Bryant (5 RBIs) and (‘25)AJ Hayes added 2 hits each.
4/19/2024 Platt 8 Tolland 4
Final: Platt 8, Tolland 4. After going up 1-0 in the top of the first, Platt responded with 6 in the bottom of the first and the Eagles couldn’t recover. Scott Busch was excellent on the mound in relief, going 3 2/3 allowing 1 unearned run, while striking out 4. Mason Bryant, Christian Steiner and AJ Hayes all continued their hot starts at the plate, with 2 hits a piece.
4/15/24 Simsbury 10 Tolland 7
Tolland drops a back and forth game with Simsbury 10-7. August Hayes had 2 hits and 4 RBIs while pitching 3 solid innings in relief. Christian Steiner started on the mound for the Eagles and went 3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. He also had 2 hits at the plate. Mason Bryant continued his strong start at the plate, going 2-3 and scoring 3 runs.
