Tolland Boys Track & Field had 4 athletes qualified in 5 events compete at the State Open Championship Meet where they had several impressive performances to finish out the season. Cole Zocco represented Tolland in the Shot Put, Chris Adadjo in the 400, Dillon Stoeffler in the 800 and Colby Bornsten in the 3200 qualifying to compete at the NE Championship Meet this weekend in the event.


5/28/2024

The Tolland Boys Track & Field Team competed at the Class-M State Championship Meet yesterday afternoon placing 7th overall out of 30+ teams in the meet and sending several athletes on the State Open Championship next week. The boys 4x800 team of Devon Bryden, Ryan Chater, Jake Vegiard and Andrew Lamp ran well along with the 4x100 team of Jonathan Adadjo, Jarek Whitehouse, David Buey and Keith Carleton and Josh Reid in the 110 Hurdles to start off the meet on the track. Scoring performances were made by Colby Bornstein in the 1600 & 3200 meter races where Colby placed 1st and 2nd respectively, Chris Adadjo placed 2nd in the 400 while also lowering his school record time in the event, Dillon Stoeffler placed 4th with a season best time in the 800, Cole Zocco placed 6th in the shot put and the boys 4x400 relay team of Jonathan Adadjo, Andrew Lamp, Dillon Stoeffler and Chris Adadjo placed 6th while running a season best time.

The Boys T&F Team competed very well throughout the day at the CCC Championship Meet today against a very deep and talented pool of athletes from across the conference. The boys placed 8th overall in the 31 team conference and 4th in the CCC-East Division at the meet. This puts the Tolland Boys record at 11-3 on the season in the CCC-East. There were a number of season best performances, all conference performances and 2 school records broken at the meet by Colby Bornbstein in the 1600 and Chris Adadjo in the 400!


5/18/2024

On Saturday a small group of athletes competed well at the Greater Manchester Track & Field Classic. There were several personal bests including Cole Jolly in Javelin, Michael Wiggins in Long Jump and Owen Walsh in the 100 & 200. Our team now begins the championship portion of the season starting with the CCC Championship Meet on Tuesday 5/21.


5/14/2024 Won 85.5 - 63.5

The Tolland Boys T&F Team competed in their final regular season meet this afternoon against EO Smith and came away with a win by the score of 85.5 - 63.5, finishing the regular season 7-0.  The boys had a very balanced day on the track and in the field to outperform their opponent.  The boys had a number of personal bests and a few 1st time events that went very well on the afternoon.  The boys had scoring performances by the 4x800 relay team, Jonathan Adadjo in the 100, 400 and triple jump, Chris Adadjo in the 400 & 200, Josh Reid in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and discus, Keith Carleton in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Jake Vegiard in the 110 hurdles and javelin, Colby Bornstein in the 1600, 800 and 3200, Dillon Stoeffler in the 1600, Cole Zocco in shot put and javelin, Cole Jolly in shot put, discus and javelin, Jerek Whitehouse in shot put and discus, Gavin Cannizzaro in Long Jump and Triple Jump, John Sleeman in pole vault and William Senelick in pole vault.

The Boys T&F Team attended the Greater Hartford Invitational this weekend and performed well in a number of events and came away with a 7th place overall finish out of a field of 45 teams at the meet. There were many PR's and standout performances over the course of the day. Chris Adadjo placed 3rd overall in the 400 running a season best time in the event, Dillon Stoeffler placed 3rd in the 800 also running a season best time, Colby Bornstein placed 2nd in the 3200 along with the boys 4x400 relay team of Dillon Stoeffler, Chris Adadjo, Spencer Graham and Andrew Lamp placing second in the event.


5/7/2024 Won 78-72 & 97-52

The Tolland Boys outdoor Track and Field team improved to 6-0 on the season with wins against East Catholic and East Hartford in our final home meet of the season. Congratulations to our seniors Colby, Cole, Josh, Yonas, Jarek, Cole, Spencer & Ryan for performing well this afternoon and for all of the hard work and dedication you have shown to our program over the years. The boys were able to score a number of points on the track and in the field including wins by the 4x800 & 4x400 relay teams, Chris Adadjo placed 2nd in the 100 & 400, Colby Bornstein placed 1st in the 1600 & 800, Dillon Stoeffler placed 3rd in the 800, Devon Bryden and Ryan Chater placed 2nd & 3rd in the 3200, Josh Reid placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles and 1st in pole vault, Cole Zocco placed3rd in shot put and 2nd in javelin, Jarek Whitehouse placed 2nd in discus, Jake Vegiard placed 1st in Javelin and Gavin Cannizzaro placed 1st in triple jump and 2nd in long jump. The Eagles now prepare for the Greater Hartford invite this Saturday.



4/30/2024 Won 79-71

The Tolland Boys Track & Field boys team improved to 4-0 on the season with a win over Enfield yesterday afternoon by a score of 79-71. The boys had a great all around team victory led by many veteran athletes getting things done on the track and in the field, but several newer members of the team also made key contributions to the team's success. Highlights from the meet include wins by the 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams, Chris Adadjo placed 1st in the 200, Dillon Stoeffler placed 1st in the 400 & 2nd in the 800, Jonathan Adadjo placed 2nd in the 400, Colby Bornstein placed 1st in the 1600, 800 & 3200, Devon Bryden placed 2nd in the 1600 and 3rd in the 3200, Ryan Chater placed 2nd in the 3200 and 3rd in the 1600, Keith Carleton placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles, Jake Vegiard placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and Javelin, Andrew Lamp placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles and 1st in High Jump, Cole Zocco placed 1st in shot put and 3rd in discus, Cole Jolly placed 2nd in High Jumpo and 3rd in shot put, William Senelick placed 3rd in long jump and Gavin Cannizzaro placed 1st in triple jump.

On Saturday afternoon, 18 of our team members competed at the Ellington Invitational placing 7th overall, scoring a total of 32 points on the track and in the field. There were many personal bests, state qualifying performances, medalists and podium finishes throughout the day. Some of the day's highlights include a 6th place finish by Cole Jolly in Hammer Throw, a 3rd place finish by the 4x800 relay team of Dillon Stoeffler, Andrew Lamp, Devon Bryden, and Colby Bornstein, a 3rd place finish by Chris Adadjo in the 400, a 2nd place finish by Dillon Stoeffler in the 800, a 3rd place finish by the 4x400 relay team of Chris adagio, Jonathan Adadjo, Andrew Lamp and Jake Vegiard, and a 4th place finish by Cole Zocco in the Shot Put.


4/23/2024 Won 76-70

The Tolland Boys T&F Team had it's first away meet of the season at Manchester High School yesterday afternoon against a tough opponent and came away with a close victory by the score of 76-70. Our athletes performed well on the track and in the field recording several state qualifying marks and even more PR's on the afternoon. Highlights include top 3 finishes by Colby Bornstein in the 1600 &3200, Jonathan Adadjo in the 100 & 4x400, Chris Adadjo in the 400, 200 and 4x400, Dillon Stoeffler in the 800 & 4x400, Andrew Lamp in the 4x400, Josh Reid in the 110 & 300 hurdles, discus and pole vault, Cole Zocco in the Shot Put, Discus and Javelin, Grant Syphers in the 800, Jake Vegiard in the Javelin and 300 hurdles, John Sleeman in Pole Vault and Gavin Cannizzaro in Triple Jump.


4/16/2024 Won 77-73

The Tolland Boys T&F team improved to 2-0 on the season in a hard fought meet at home against South Windsor by a score of 77-73. The team competed well on the track and in the field with several new and improved state qualifying performances along with many veteran and newer team members contributing to the team's success. Highlights include scoring performances by Josh Reid in the 110 & 300 hurdles, pole vault and discus, Chris Adadjo in the 100 and 400, Colby Bornstein in the 1600, 800 & 3200, Dillon Stoeffler in the 800, Andrew Lamp in the 400, Devon Bryden in the 1600, Ryan Chater in the 3200, the 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams, Cole Zocco in Shot Put and Javelin, Jake Vegiard in Javelin, William Senelick and Cole Jolly in High Jump, and Gavin Cannizzaro in Triple Jump.


4/9/2024 - Won 90-57

The boys opened up their season on a beautiful afternoon with a win at home against RHAM by a score of 90-57. Tolland had several event winners and notable performances by Spencer Graham in the 200, Dillon Stoeffler and Andrew Lamp in the 400, Colby Bornstein and Dillon Stoeffler in the 800, Colby Bornstein and Devon Bryden in the 1600, Colby Bornstein and Ryan Chater in the 3200, Josh Reid in the 110 & 300 hurdles and pole vault, Cole Zocco and Cole Jolly in Shot Put and Discus, and Cole Zocco and Keith Carleton in Javelin, Cole Jolly and Andrew Lamp in High Jump, Andrew Lamp in Long Jump, Mario Ellis, Gavin Cannizzaro and WIlliam Senelick in Triple Jump as well as the 4x800 & 4x400 relay teams.
