Colby Bornstein represented the Tolland Highschool Boys Cross Country team at the New England Championship Meet this past Saturday in Belfast Maine. Colby ran one of his best times of the season placing in the top 25 among the best runners from across New England earning All-New England honors as a result of his outstanding performance. Congratulations Colby on a great race and a great season.

The boys cross country team competed in their last team race of the 2023 season Monday afternoon at the State Open Championship meet. The Tolland boys ran very well against the top teams and runners from across the state finishing with their fastest team time on the season. Colby Bornstein led the way for the Tolland Boys finishing 10th overall in the State and qualifying for the New England Championship in Maine this coming Saturday. Dillon Stoeffler, Jake Vegiard, Ryan Chater, Mario Urbina-Cruz, Charlie Wlodarczyk and Chase Anderson all ran well and ran some of their best times of the season.

Congratulations to the Tolland Boys Cross Country Team runners Colby Bornstein, Dillon Stoeffler, Ryan Chater, Mario Urbina-Cruz, Jake Vegiard, Charlie Wlodarczyk, and Chase Anderson for placing 2nd overall as a team at the Class-M State Championship and Colby Bornstein for placing 1st at the Class-M State Championship Meet!!! The boys team has qualifed to race at the State Open Championship on Friday 11/3 representing Tolland among the top 20 teams and runners from across the state.
10/17/2023 - Won 2nd Place CCC-East
The Tolland Boys Cross Country Team ran at the CCC-Championship Meet on Tuesday afternoon at Wickham Park and came away with a 2nd place finish in the CCC-East and an 8th place finish overall out of a field of 31 teams. Colby Bornstein led the way in the varsity race placing 2nd overall and 1st in the CCC East with a personal best time on the course. Tolland's top 5 also consisted of Mario Urbina-Cruz, Dillon Stoeffler, Ryan Chater and Jake Vegiard with Charlie Wlodarczyk and Chase Anderson rounding out the top 7. In the JV race Andrew Lamp, David Buey, Nick Ly, Keith Carleton, Grant Syphers and Asher Valloall ran well. The Tolland Boy's team finished the regular season with a record of 12-2, and now prepare for the Class-M State Championship on Saturday October 28th.
10/10/2023 - Lost Tol-42 EO-19
The boys Cross Country team faced their toughest competition by far this season against EO Smith and suffered their 1st loss of the season, finishing at 6-1. Our boys did run very well despite the final score with many runners recording season best times in the race.
Congratulations to our 3 seniors Mario, Ryan and Colby who have all done a great job throughout the season!
10/3/2023 - Won TOL-24 RHAM-33 / TOL-18 SW-39
On Tuesday afternoon the Tolland Boys Cross Country team competed against RHAM and South Windsor and came away a victory against both teams. The boys improved to 6-0 on the season and continued to work hard and run well together in the meet. Colby Bornstein lead the way for the Eagles placing 1st overall in the race. Dillon Stoeffler, Mario Urbina-Cruz and Ryan Chater all ran well placing in the top 6. Tolland's top 7 runners were rounded out by Charlie Woldaczyk, Chase Anderson and Andrew Lamp.

The Tolland Boys varsity and JV teams ran well at the Ocean State Invite on Saturday. Colby Bornstein ran a season best time in the varsity race placing 3rd overall. Dillon Stoeffler, Ryan Chater, Mario Urbina-Cruz, Charlie Wlodarczyk, and Chase Anderson also had season best times in the race. In the JV race Andrew Lamp, David Buey, Nick Ly, Keith Carleton and Asher Vallo had season best times.
9/19/2023 - Tol-24 Man-32, Tol-19 EC-41
The Tolland Boys Cross Country team competed in their second dual meet of the season and their only home meet and came away with a victory against both opponents Manchester and East Catholic. After a slightly delayed start the boys went to work throughout the race and worked well together to keep pace with both opponents. Congratulations to our 3 seniors: Colby, Ryan and Mario who all ran their final meet at home and were all instrumental in the team's success this afternoon.
9/15/2023 - Won
The Tolland Boys Cross Country team ran in their 1st invitational of the season at the Blue Dragon Invite and placed 3rd overall in the varsity race and 7th in the JV race. It was a good racing experience for all of our runners and we had many solid performances in both races. Congratulations to Colby Bornstein for placing 1st overall in the Boys Varsity race with a time of 16:37, leading the race from start to finish!
9/12/23 - Won TOL-22 EHHS-36 / TOL-18 ENF-43
Tolland boys cross country competed in their 1st regular season meet of the season and came away wins over both East Hartford and Enfield. Despite missing a few senior runners, the boys ran well and were led by Dillon Stoeffler in his first high school cross country race and captain Ryan Chapter up front. A solid group of younger runners including Jake Vegiard, Charlie Wlodarczyk, Andrew Lamp and Chase Anderson ran well together and sealed the win against both opponents.
