Makeup is a familiar practice that has persisted throughout human history, across cultures and eras. While not a core theme in psychology, it touches on diverse areas of the field. Thus, through psychological research on makeup, we can explore various domains of psychology.
In this course, I will discuss my psychological research on makeup. We will explore not only psychological domains but also history and culture. Additionally, we will take a slight detour to touch on the psychology of stress and emotions, which are crucial when considering makeup, and I will also introduce how makeup research is being applied within society.
