The emergence and achievements of artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly featured in daily news and other media.
While there is hope that “life will become more convenient,” we also hear concerns that “jobs will be taken away.” But can you explain specifically what AI actually is, what it can do, and what it cannot do?
This course will teach the fundamentals of AI and explain how it can be used in society, based on concrete research examples from universities and companies. We will also discuss the nature of the relationship that emerges when AI and humans interact in daily life, from the perspectives of education and sociology.
We hope this course provides a starting point for envisioning a future where AI and humans thrive together in society.
