Japan Spintronics School 2027, Winter is a residential international workshop for active discussions on cutting-edge research topics in magnetism and spintronics.
The school brings together world-leading experts, early-career researchers, and students for scientific presentations, shared accommodation, informal discussions, and winter activities in a quiet mountain resort in southern Tohoku.
This school continues the Spintronics School series held in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
Magnetism, spintronics, spin transport, spin dynamics, magnetic materials, quantum and nanoscale phenomena, and related emerging topics.
Invited talks, contributed presentations, poster discussions, a special talk, excursion time, and informal evening discussion.
A compact residential school designed for focused exchange across generations, affiliations, and nationalities.

Venue and Winter Activities
Urabandai Lake Resort is located beside Lake Hibara, surrounded by snowy mountains in the Urabandai area. The setting supports close scientific exchange through shared accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, and informal evening discussions.
Nearby winter activities include ski resorts, snowshoe trekking, and fishing on the frozen lake. Optional activities will depend on weather, local conditions, and each participant's own arrangement.
