Purpose
Purpose
As the demands of society evolve, synchrotron radiation facilities are reaching a pivotal moment where they must transform their roles and contributions. Around the world, many facilities are now upgrading to fourth-generation light sources, with operations already underway at MAX IV, ESRF, SIRIUS, APS-U, NanoTerasu, and SLS 2.0. In addition, the planning of SPring-8-II, SOLEIL, DIAMOND, ELETTRA, etc. are advancing.

At this conference, we aim to further define the roles and future potential of synchrotron radiation facilities in response to the significant changes in industry, society, and the global environment. We will explore the future direction of open and closed innovation strategies within the framework of international collaboration, while addressing the challenges of regulatory requirements and information security and as well as protection of intellectual property(IP), to build a strong and forward-looking ecosystem.
