Todd Bloomquist is a freelance professional photographer who has a day job as an educator. Living in the beautiful Rogue Valley of southern Oregon where so many of the images have been taken, Todd enjoys hiking and getting close to nature. He also enjoys event and portrait photography. As a doctor of education, he enjoys teaching, studying, and research, but taking time to be out in this grand nature that has been created for us--this is especially rewarding. So much about photography is being a good student.
Faith and family are two key aspects of my life, both of which I hold dear. Projects like helping with the Haiti Youth Mission are important to me and I hope to continue to be involved in outreach projects like this one until I am no longer able, recording life's special moments to share with others.

LINKS
I have enjoyed it when other photographers list out interesting links of sites that they like to visit. It is obviously not an exhaustive list, but it is a list of sorts. For inspiration, I tend to gravitate toward what Art Wolfe, David Noton, Scott Rinckenberger, and Guy Tal are writing about and doing; what they generally say is, "get out there and photograph--stop reading about it." I couldn't agree more. Here's to doing.
