AXIS Program
The Todd County Health Department has partnered with the Todd County School District to provide the AXIS program at TCMS Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year. The AXIS program aims to ensure that every student has access to the mental health care they need, when and where they need it.
Through this program, TCMS has four dedicated case managers who will provide free, confidential case management services to students. This is in response to the rising rates of anxiety and depression among youth, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the online registration process, parents/guardians will be asked to provide consent for the AXIS case managers to meet with their student in social/emotional crisis situations that occur at school. Further services or referrals will only be provided after the parent/guardian has been contacted and consulted.
The AXIS program recognizes that there can be a stigma surrounding mental healthcare. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the Todd County Health Department at 270-429-4054 if they have any questions or concerns about the services provided.
The goal of the AXIS program is to ensure that every student at TCMS has access to the support and resources they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
