The humor contest is open to all members, regardless of education program. Unlike International Speech Contest, there is no requirement for the Education Award (CC # 6, Pathways Level 2 or higher). District officers are not allowed to participate.

The rulebook said "District officers or candidates for elected positions for the term beginning the upcoming July 1." As area directors are assigned by District Director in D76, area directors cete.

Those who are going to run for Division Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director and Division Director cannot compete in a contest at any level.

コンテストルールには「７月１日から任期が始まるディストリクト役員または候補者」とありますが、エリアディレクターは、D76ではDivision Directorによる任命制なので、Area Directorはあてはまりません。

来期Division Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth DirectorおよびDivision Directorに立候補をする方は出場できません。

For the Chief Judge, refer to the rulebook (General Rules 2.Eligiblity D). 1. At a club contest, be a paid member.At an area contest and above, be a paid member who have completed Pathways LV2 (or CC6).

All paid member can be the Contest Chair, including area directors and division directors. If you are not familiar wiith online contest, it could be better to assign an experienced member because you may have some unpredictable matters and difficult judgement.

審査員長についてはコンテスト規則（一般規則 2.出場資格 D.）を確認してください。クラブコンテストにおいては、会費納入済みの会員であることが条件です。エリア以上のコンテストでは、Pathwaysレベル1,2を修了済もしくはCCマニュアルで6以上のスピーチプロジェクトを達成していることが条件です。

コンテスト委員長については制限はありません。エリアディレクターやディビジョンディレクターもコンテスト委員長を務めることが可能です。ただし、初めてのオンラインコンテストである場合はコンテスト委員長・審査員長の判断が求められる事項が多く、慣れた会員の方が安心かもしれません。

Please refer to the rulebook (General Rules 5. M. 4). Each contest should be adjourned prior to the next contest. In that case, it is possible to annouce winners at one time after two contests.

コンテスト規則（一般規則 5.一般手順 M.4.）により、最初のコンテストをOfficial に閉会した後に次のコンテストを開始する、という対応であれば、受賞者発表は最後にまとめて実施することが可能です。

For tally counters, the tallies from two counters will be confirmed that the results are same. SAA can be handled by one person. In rulebook, the numbers of tally counters (two), Timers (two), and Judges (more than 5) are determined. To keep fairness, the tallies should be confirmed by two or more people.

If possible, it's better to have backup person, who can be an alternate of who have some sudden trouble.

Tally counter = 公平性を期すために両名ともが同じ計算結果になるかの確認を行います。SAAは1名で大丈夫です。

人数が定められているのはTally counter (2名）、Timer(2名)、Judge（5名以上）です。Tally counterは公平を期すためにも、複数の目を持って審査用紙を確認すべきです。

他はクラブの余裕にあわせて、バックアップ担当者（誰かの接続が途切れるなどの緊急事態が発生した時に、どの役割でも引き受けられる人）などを設置しておくと安心でしょう。

It is not alowed to hold two of following roles at the same time: contest chair, chief judge, judge, tie-breaking judge, timer, SAA, counter. One of the possible solutions is to ask the area director to find someone from other clubs. Please refer to the following link.

Every and each contest is independent. No probrem if a speaker deliver the same speeches in different contests.

The idea of originalitiy is that it does not imitate the ideas of others, and does not mention quoting one's own speech.

There are currently no explicit rules for running an online humor speech contest. (Confirmed by Toastmasters International)

As far as we heard from other districts who had online humorous speech contest last year, they think that a judge himself/herself is a part of audience, and that his/her response can be considered as a response of audience.

It is technically possible to check the audience response by turning on the microphone of the audience, but it is strongly recommended to turn off the microphone and camera except for the speaker in the online speech contest.

There is no other reasonable solution, so please consider "the reaction of the judges themselves" as "the reaction of the audience".

オンラインによるユーモアスピーチコンテストの運営について、明示されたルールは現状ありません。(Toastmasters Internationalに確認済み)

昨年実際にユーモアコンテストを実施しているDistrictの例も併せて確認したところ「審査員自身もひとりの聴衆であるものとして、その聴衆たる自分自身の反応」をもってして「聴衆の反応」として運用しております。

聴衆のマイクをオンにするなどして聴衆の反応を確認するなどの方法も考えられますが、オンラインスピーチコンテストではスピーカー以外はマイク・カメラをオフにすることが強く推奨されています。

他に合理的な審査方法はありませんので、「審査員自身の反応」を「聴衆の反応」として審査することで運用をお願いします。

Specific time is not written in the rulebook. We can determine reasonable time considering with total time of the contest and number of contestants.

quote: If a contestant loses connection during the contest but is able to regain connection, they should pick up their speech at the point where they left off. The contest chair can indicate the last word or sentence that was heard so they know where they lost connection.

Remember when the audio / video was interrupted in case the contestant was disconnected during the speech.

出場者がコンテスト中に接続が切れるといった事態に備え、音声・映像がどの時点で途切れたかを覚えておきます。

To avoid the risk of wrong address/miss-sharing, e-mail would be the best and the most popular way.

As for the way to collect the ballots , it is only written that "Inform judges of the process for submitting the ballot." in the best practice. It is recommended to use the most familiar and the less risky tool, discussing with judges.

Apart form the ballot collecting tool, It is also recommended to have another tool that the chief judges can communicate with the chief judge and the contest chair. (Best Practice P4 "Share information about how judges can communicate with the chief judge, contest chair, or meeting moderator during the contest.")

誤送信、誤共有を防ぐのであれば、最もメジャーでリスクが低いツールとしては、メールが一般的です。

Best Practices上は「投票用紙を提出する方法を審査員に通知します」（ベストプラクティス日本語・P5）としか書かれていません。よって、審査員長・審査員と協議して、最も使い慣れていてミスが生じにくいツールを使うことをお勧めします。

なお、投票用紙の回収方法をメールにし、審査員長～審査員間の全員がコンタクトをとれる連絡手段を別途用意しておくことも有効です。

In the contest, the officail ballot sheet must be used, and it is required that "Complete the entire ballot, then screenshot and crop the bottom section of the ballot and only send the screenshot" or "Complete the bottom section of the ballot and leave the scoring section blank and submit the entire file." (Best Practice p9)

Please use the tools that can identify the sender.If you want to avoid the risk of wrong address/miss-sharing, e-mail would be the best and popular way.

FYI, it is written "The top portion of the ballot is not provided to the ballot counters and must be discreetly discarded by the voting judge after the contest" in the Rulebook 5.K.2.a).

コンテストにおいては、トーストマスターズインターナショナルが定める正式な投票用紙を使用し、「1. 署名したのちに、1-3位の結果部分のみ（通常時に切り離して渡していた部分）を写真で撮影」もしくは「2. 編集可能PDFで、スコアをつけている部分を消したもの」を共有することが推奨されています。（ベストプラクティス日本語：P12）

間違いなく審査員本人が送ったことが確認できる手段を事前に意識合わせしておきます。

誤送信、誤共有を防ぐために、最もメジャーでリスクが低いツールとしては、メールが一般的です。

ちなみに、コンテスト規則（一般規則 5.一般手順 K.）に定められているとおり、投票用紙の上部は集計係に渡さず、コンテスト終了後に投票審査員が慎重に破棄しなければなりません。

The people who can make a protest are the ontestants and the judges.

The protest itself can be sent by email or chat. Send directly to the contest chair or the chief judge so that it is not visible to other participants.

異議申し立てができる人はコンテスタントと審査員です。

Any tools are OK, but it's a good idea to decide on the tools (email, LINE, phone, new Zoom, etc.) that the chair /the judge / a person who protested can discuss most comfortably, then discuss the details.

When discussing online face-to-face, it is desirable to set a separate URL because there is a risk that others will see the protest if the URL is the same as the contest (breakout room, etc.).

どのようなツールでも構いませんが、コンテスト委員長／審査員長／異議申し立て者が最も快適に話し合うことのできるツール（メール、LINE、電話、新規Zoom等）を決めてから詳細を話し合うと良いでしょう。

なおオンラインでface to faceで話し合う場合、コンテストと同じURL（ブレイクアウトルーム等）だと他者から異議申し立ての様子が見えてしまうリスクがあるため、別途URLを設定することが望ましいです。
