Abstract Submissions

Instructions for Authors

CEMS 2019 is accepting abstract submissions for 2 types of sessions:

Short Communications: 10-minute oral presentation with slides
E-poster: Electronic poster using 1 slide or PDF, 3-minute oral presentation only 1 page allowed per poster

Since CEMS-2019 is an international conference, we encourage speakers to present in English but Mandarin Chinese presentations are also allowed on a limited basis as long as slides and posters are in English language. Please note that since we need to arrange an interpreter for Mandarin Chinese presentations, this may affect the selection or your abstract.

CEMS 2019 Academic Excellence Awards

This year we will be recognizing the efforts of outstanding presenters through our CEMS 2019 Academic Excellence Awards

Best Short Communication Award: $500 USD
Best E-Poster Award: $500 USD
Award for Academic Excellence (Short Communication, 2 awards): $200 USD
Award for Academic Excellence (E-Poster, 2 awards): $200 USD

Short communications and e-posters will be judged by our international guest speakers

All presenters will be considered for the this award

TMU 2019 Academic Excellence Awards

This year we will be recognizing the efforts of outstanding presenters affliliated to Taipei Medical University through our TMU 2019 Academic Excellence Awards

Best TMU Short Communication Award: $5,000 NTD
Best TMU E-Poster Award: $5,000 NTD
TMU Award for Academic Excellence (Short Communication, 2 awards): $3,000 NTD
TMU Award for Academic Excellence (E-Poster, 2 awards): $3,000 NTD

Short communications and e-posters will be judged by our international guest speakers

To participate in the 2019 TMU awards, you must be an active student, faculty or staff member at Taipei Medical University or affiliate hospital

Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts may contain a maximum of 350 words and must be submitted in English. Each abstract must contain the following:

Abstract Title
Abstract Authors (Max 6 authors)
Abstract Presenter (only 1 presenter)
Background
Summary of work
Summary of results
Discussion and Conclusions
Take-home Messages.
Keywords (5 maximum)
