OHDSI
Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) is an international collaborative community rooted in the spirit of Open Science. Its mission is to advance the standardization of observational health data, the sharing of analytical methods, and the exchange of best practices. Through open-source tools—such as the OMOP Common Data Model and the ATLAS platform—and global cross-national research collaborations, OHDSI facilitates the transformation of Real-World Data (RWD) into reliable Real-World Evidence (RWE). This evidence supports clinical decision-making, public health policy, and medical research and development.
The OHDSI Taiwan Society serves as the Taiwan node of the global OHDSI community. It is dedicated to promoting international data standardization, facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration among medical and research institutions both locally and abroad, and assisting Taiwanese research teams in participating in international multi-center studies. Through knowledge sharing, education, training, and practical collaboration, OHDSI Taiwan not only enhances the international usability of local health data but also actively bridges global resources to elevate Taiwan’s visibility and impact in the field of RWD/RWE research.
