Hello, TMSA families, and welcome to TMSA Bands!
The TMSA Band program is a thriving community dedicated to fostering musical, academic, and personal growth. In just a few years, the program has grown from 54 students in the 2021-2022 school year to over 200 students from 6th through 12th grade in 2025-2026.
TMSA Bands offers five different concert band classes, from 6th Grade Beginning Band up to the High School Wind Ensemble. The bands have consistently earned recognition for excellence, achieving numerous Superior and Excellent Ratings at adjudicated events throughout the Southeastern United States. Additionally, the program has consistently placed many students in district and state-level honors bands. This success has cemented TMSA Bands' reputation as one of the largest and most successful charter school band programs in the state of North Carolina.
Beyond musical achievement, TMSA Bands is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive band family where every student who wants to belong can find a home. The program's mission is to help all students achieve their full potential, not only as musicians but as well-rounded individuals.
