Set aside a budget for books throughout the year. You can roughly plan on about $35. That may even be more than is needed. I will let you know about 2 weeks prior to starting a book. It is best if the students have their own book so we can write in them.
Work turned in past the day it was due is considered late. If a student is absent on the day the assignment is due they are responsible for turning it in the day they return. If a student was absent it is their responsibility to collect assignments they missed. They will have the same number of days they were absent to complete the missed work. After that it is late.
The grading policy for late work is a standard policy for middle school. Please refer to the handbook.
Test/Project corrections are limited to major assignments and only to those scoring below an 80. Credit for corrections will not exceed an 80. It is better to be fully prepared for major assessments and complete them with your best effort.
