Educational Philosophy
Education nurtures talent, and talent creates the great future of a nation. We emphasize the importance of "students' self-awareness, life experiences, independent thinking, and problem-solving abilities." By fostering confidence and a love for learning in students, we open the doors to learning through multiple intelligences. With love and hope, we build a brilliant tomorrow for our students.
Principal Shang-Yi Lai of Pei-Cheng Elementary School
I. Philosophy
Education cultivates talent, and talent creates the future of a nation. As a professional educational leader, one must motivate oneself with "love, confidence, patience, and perseverance," dedicating one's passion and care, and guiding the direction of education. It is essential to lead teachers and parents in achieving educational goals, stimulating students' multiple intelligences, affirming their achievements, and emphasizing "self-awareness, life experiences, independent thinking, and problem-solving abilities." Students should be confident and love learning; by unlocking their diverse intelligences, we open the window to their learning. Using love and hope, we build a brilliant future for our students.
Students are the core of the school; their best interests are my primary concern in making educational decisions. Every school action must prioritize students' needs. Hence, our educational philosophy centers around "student-oriented" education.
II. Educational Philosophy
Humanistic Cultivation and Multiple Intelligences: Education is based on "humanism." Every student is a unique individual, and we respect their differences. By aligning with students' developmental stages, we implement holistic education, stimulate their potential, and develop multiple intelligences to promote self-realization.
Fairness, Justice, and Appropriate Development: Regardless of students' socioeconomic backgrounds, intelligence, or gender, they have equal educational opportunities. Education should start with "teaching without discrimination," tailor to "teach according to ability," and ultimately achieve "everyone's talents." We must nurture every student and never give up on any child.
Life Learning and Interpersonal Interaction: Schools should provide students with the most favorable learning environment, integrating learning into real-life contexts. "Education is life," and "learning by doing" guides students to learn cognition, how to do things, how to learn, and how to interact with others.
Local Affection and Global Vision: Using community and campus resources, we cultivate students' love and appreciation for their environment. Combining reading, English, and information technology education, we expand students' global vision and technological application skills, developing the basic abilities of global citizens.
III. Educational Goals
Student-Centered: Focus on students, stimulate their potential, and ensure no child is left behind.
Teacher Professionalism: Develop teachers' professionalism, organize professional teams, encourage professional research, and establish a professional image.
Parental Recognition: Establish mechanisms for parent-teacher cooperation, encourage diverse parental participation, and gain school recognition.
Community Integration: Promote school community integration and community school integration, sharing resources between school and community.
Administrative Service: Serve teaching needs, address the needs of teachers and students, and manage administration effectively and goal-orientedly.
IV. School Direction (LDES - Learn, Do, Elect, Share)
Learning - Habits and Literacy
Develop habits of physical fitness and leisure: Emphasizing health and leisure is a core value of the future. It's the school's responsibility to help students cultivate healthy habits.
Accumulate artistic and humanistic literacy: Cultural accumulation relies on artistic cultivation and musical enrichment. Schools must nurture and accumulate these from an early age to form culture in life.
Practice - Passion and Attitude
Shape a passion for respect and care: Self-respect leads to respect from others. Respecting oneself and caring for others are goals of character education and school life education, as well as societal expectations of national education.
Cultivate an attitude of cherishing resources: Sustainable resources are a specific behavior of cherishing and loving resources, achieving harmony between humans and nature through this behavior.
Choice - Vision and Method
Expand diverse reading horizons: Language is a crucial tool for communication. Knowing one more language opens up another world. Extensive reading brings the world closer to our students.
Master the methods of connecting with the world: The Internet breaks national borders and synchronizes information dissemination speed globally. In the digital age, students must grasp the pulse of the world to connect with it.
Sharing - Wisdom and Values
Enhance collective innovative wisdom: Learn knowledge and wisdom together, improving both knowledge learning and wisdom expression.
Demonstrate modern ethical values: Value education must start from the root and be acquired alongside educational stages, learning the core values.
V. Management Strategies
Vision Leadership Strategy - Value Discourse
Organizational Learning Strategy - Team Sharing
Project Management Strategy - Quality Accumulation
Practical Strategy - Professional Demonstration
Resource Integration Strategy - Network Building
Innovative Management Strategy - Cross-Border Cooperation
VI. Self-Expectations
As the principal, the school's leader, everyone expects the principal to integrate internal and external educational resources, building the school into a learning community. The principal must also steer the school through professional and excellent administrative processes, setting an example for teachers and students. Continuous learning and self-improvement are crucial to break through the status quo and challenges. Additionally, the principal should motivate and assist teachers' professional growth, establishing a fresh and honorable educational professional image. As both an administrative and teaching leader, the principal must work together with all staff, striving towards the school's vision, step by step, creating a model school full of love, hope, and teamwork.
