- Explore these Elements of Art: Color, Line, Shape, Texture, Form, and Space.
- Explore these Principles of Design: Rhythm, Repetition, Pattern, Contrast, Balance, Emphasis, Movement, and Variety.
- Students will be able to represent texture in 2D art through the use of the Elements of Art.
- Students will be able to compare and contrast art from different time periods and cultures.
- Students will be able to use symbols to convey meaning in their artwork.
- Students will explore how to create mood and meaning in their artwork.
- Students will be able to identify themes used in artwork.
