My name is Kara Jackson and I am thankful to be at Trout Lake School as a first grade teacher! I grew up in Illinois and received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lewis and Clark College. My husband and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to move to the Northwest 14 years ago. The natural beauty and active community has made it a perfect fit. When I am not at school, I love trail running, hiking new trails, paddle boarding on the Columbia, and skiing in the mountains. I also love spending the holidays with my family and friends in Illinois. This will be my 20th year serving early elementary students and families. I love watching the incredible progress children make throughout their early elementary years. I am excited to part of the Trout Lake community!
