Weekly Tasks:

Literacy Stations

Each week, students will be responsible for completing a variety of different tasks in the form of Literacy Stations. These tasks will be posted via Google Classroom, assigned each Monday and will be due that Friday. The topics and material will be tailored to the units we are currently focusing on in class, and range across each subject strand (not just 'Literacy' content)

Book Talks:

The outline for the monthly 'Book Talk' assignments has been uploaded below. Students complete one of twenty assignment options based on a book read in class. A new project is completed (approximately) every month, and students can only choose a given option (from the twenty) ONCE. Choose wisely!

Character Collage:

From the books read in class (around the time of the second Book Talk) students will complete a character collage for a single character outlining their traits, morals, and views. Students will use imaginative imagery to represent all the elements and characteristics that make up their given character. Students will present their projects in either a bristol board format, or via Google Slides.
