Inspired by Gibimishkaadimin we want to provide youth with the opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). The goal is to bring youth from Indigenous communities in remote locations to Huntsville, Ontario in March 2026. Last summer the Gibimishkaadimin trip included students from Nunavat, Northwest Territories, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and many more!
Partnered with students from Huntsville's championship winning robotics team (Hoya Robotics, team 4152) students will build a robot and compete in two events. Our goal is to raise $50 000. This will cover the complete cost of registration for competition, parts to build the robots, transportation and accommodation for the youth.
How you can help:
Make a financial commitment - on September 1, 2025 we will contact you. If enough people committed to make this a reality we will then go over how to donate the fund. If we don't reach our goal we will either reduce the number of participants or cancel the program.
Spread the word - share this page! Our goal is to bring together youth from across the country so the more people involved the more likelihood the event will run!
