Homework

Nightly homework includes homework packet activities, sight word practice, and reading.

Students should spend an average of 10 minutes per night on homework, not including reading.  

Homework packets are sent home every Monday and are due the following Monday.

Occasionally, special projects will be sent home in lieu of homework packets.

Homework Tips

Here are some homework tips that you may find useful when setting up a nightly homework routine:

1. Find a calm, quiet spot for your child to work. 

2. Make sure your child has all the tools he or she will need to complete the assignments.  

3. Encourage independence, but be available if your child needs help.  Your child will need your help reading and following directions, especially initially. Our homework is designed to be done with some adult assistance. Reading should always be done together until your child is able to read independently.
