AMAZON WISH LIST! 

Hello all!

I am excited to meet tomorrow evening to go over the goings on and procedures in our first grade classroom! We have two sessions. You can come at 6:00 for a half an hour presentaion OR at 6:45 for a half hour.  The school has also sent out an email with some details about this evening.

I have sent home some math classwork! Please review the work and reach out with any questions.

Please be sure to check the silver folder daily for work and important information. Please be sure to grab the physical copy of Joe Joe's party invitation out of the folder.

Hi!

It was great to see all of you at the Meet and Greet today! I do not think that there was one student who did not make it into the classroom! GO class! Your kiddos are adorbale and I can not wait to get to know their little personalities!

First Day of school:

Start of the day:

We have an Opening Day Rally. It is a special time in which our whole school gathers together on the field and sings and prays together. This begins around 8:30. Your kiddos and I will meet at our line on the upper blacktop and then walk over together as a class. You are welcome to stay and join the festivities behind all of the classes on the field. 

End of the day:

Pick up is at the front of the school where they were serving ice cream. We sit on the steps facing the parking lot. You will pick up your student there. They will know tomorrow that they must check out with me and I must see a parent or a pre-authorized adult to allow them to leave. At 3:10 if they have not been picked up I will lead them to Crosswalk (our after school program).

*Thursday 8/20

We have our first P.E. class. Please be sure your child has athletic shoes on as P.E. is first thing!

*Friday 8/21

 Picture day for first grade! It is happening early this year!  If you have older students at the school they may be taking theirs on Thursday.

Hello Parents,

I am so excited to meet our new class-family members tomorrow between 1:30-2:30 at our Meet and Greet! Please be sure to give yourself enough time for your sweet 1st grader to come in and meet myself and the support staff, get your supplies dropped off, and your kiddo time to get familiar with the classroom and ask any questions they may have before we close the door at 2:30 to get some ice cream! 

This supply list is available in the "Parent Corner" section of the TLCS website and it is also below for your convenience. 

First Grade 

*1 dozen #2 pencils – Dixon Ticonderoga *Pencil box no larger than 10” x 6”- NO zippered pouches please! *24 Crayola Crayons 

*10 Crayola Washable Markers  

*12+ glue sticks  

*1 box colored pencils 

*1 pair of scissors

*Composition Book 1

* 4 pack of Expo Markers – any size or color 

*1 pack of skinny – multicolored – highlighters 

*Large backpack without wheels 

*Headphones to keep at school (must plug in to round hole and cover ears)If your child was in Mrs. Craig's class it is likely I have their headphones.

We love volunteers here at TLCS! if you want to volunteer for centers, field trips, and enrichment classes there is a new policy, set in place by the state of California, that requires every volunteer to complete Mandated Reporter Training. Please scan the QR code at the bottom of this post to fill out the Intent to Volunteer Form so that you can be sent the link to complete your Mandated Reporter Training. All of this must be completed before you intend to volunteer or chaperone.

Our first field trip is to Gizdich Ranch and it is quickly approaching! We will set out sights on the Apple Farm as a class on September 24th. We will leave around 9-9:15 and return between 12:30 and 1:00

I have had a couple of you ask about my classroom wish list. It is easy to find at the top of the page.
