Welcome to Second Grade

September 4

We had a fun week in Second Grade! We did some apple tasting and voted for our favorites. Next week we'll be making applesauce in class, YUM!! We are studying Moses in Bible and Plant Adventures in science. We'll also meet with our Middle School buddies next week for the first time this year!

Important Dates, Information, and Events:

CLASSROOM SHARE BAG: Your child will be coming home with our class share bag many times this year. When it is their turn,  they may bring up to 3 items in the bag. Items must fit into the bag or be cleared to bring by Mrs. McCutchen ahead of time if larger. Students may bring a pet to share but again, must be cleared with Mrs. McCutchen ahead of time and a parent needs to be willing to take the animal home directly after share. We LOVE digital share items, feel free to email Mrs. McCutchen a picture or video of a share item or activity your child is involved in for their day if they'd like.

NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPT. 7: In observance of Labor Day there is NO SCHOOL, enjoy the long weekend!

Thursday, Sept. 10: Sports Spirit Day Wear your favorite sports team gear and get excited for our first Spirit Day of the year!!

Wednesday, Sept. 16: Make-Up Picture Day  This is for  your child to re-take  their picture or  if they did not get their school picture taken, 

Friday, Sept. 18: Minimum Day Students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm. Crosswalk will be available until 6:00 pm.
