Welcome to Second Grade

WOW! We had a fun week in Second Grade! We learned all about owls and dissected an owl pellet. Your child came home with a bag of bones, so fun! We read about Joshua in Bible, learned about why people came to California in Social Studies and continued discussing Plant Adventures in Science. Your child will probably have a small plant in their Student Planner as well! 

Thank you to everyone for getting their book approved for the Fall Book Report, I can't wait to see the projects!! We have a field trip next week on Wednesday. Please bring your child's booster seat if they need one and everyone should bring a bag lunch for that day. Please sign the permission slip for our trip if you have not already, I am very excited to ride the pumpkin train!

Important Dates and Events:

Wednesday, October 15: Pumpkin Train Field Trip Please sign the permission slip (Pumpkin Train Field Trip) for your child. We will leave campus at 9:30 am and return at 1:15 pm. Have your child bring a lunch!

Friday, October 24: Superhero Spirit Day Come dressed as your favorite superhero, KAPOW!!

Monday, October 27: Fall Book Report Project is DUE!! Rubric and instructions have been sent home in your child's student planner. Please email if you have any questions!

October 27-October 31: Parent Teacher Conferences Sign-ups have been emailed for you to select a date and time that works for you. These are minimum days for students, they will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.
