Welcome, I'm Mrs. Espe!
Hello! My name is Jenny Espe, and I have the privilege of teaching 5th grade at TLCS. I am so excited for the year ahead and all that God will do in and through us as a class community.
I am blessed to be the wife of Aaron and the mom of three wonderful kids—Ivy (14), Haven (11), and August (8). I grew up in Santa Cruz and later attended Biola University, where I earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in Bible and an emphasis in Intercultural Studies. After completing the Multiple-Subject Credentialing Program at CSUMB, I began teaching 4th grade at Baymonte Christian School.
Following those early years in the classroom, I felt called to join a non-profit organization, where I spent nearly two decades traveling the world to teach, serve, and learn. For the past ten years, my family and I have lived and worked in Indonesia. There, we hosted eco-tourism groups, led community development projects, taught English, taught at an International School, and so much more! These experiences deepened my love for people, learning, and helping students discover their God-given gifts.
I am truly grateful to be back in the classroom and to walk alongside your children this year. I can’t wait to see how they grow academically, socially, and spiritually!
