This week we are wrapping up our unit on multi-digit multiplication. We are also reading Because of Mr. Terupt for book club. There are so many crucial topics included in this book such as bullying, friendship, peers with special needs, etc. Ask your child about their perspective on the book!

First quarter is already flying by! Grades are posted on Gradelink and updated weekly. Please check in from time to time to monitor progress. Students have access to a list of missing assignments posted in the classroom. Encourage them to take ownership of their learning through: checking the "missing" board, looking through their grey folder each Friday.

Please review and sign them! Once fix-its are turned in, students receive 1/2 a point for every original missed point.

I hope you had a fantastic three day weekend! This week we will be having our first unit test for math. Students will be given a study guide on Tuesday for homework which will be reviewed in class on Wednesday. That night, students are encouraged to bring this study guide home to practice for Thursday's test.

Happy First Day of School!!
These first couple of days we will be getting to know each other, going over rules and procedures, taking some beginning of the year assessments, and settling back into the school year. Next week (8/25) is when we hit the ground running with curriculum! We are going to have a great year!
