Hello there!

Hello and welcome! My name is Caitlin Donovan and I could not be more thrilled to teach 5th grade at Twin Lakes this year. 

I love spending my time outdoors, with friends and family, reading a good book, eating good food, and most of all, running. This Summer, I backpacked the Camino de Santiago across the Northern coast of Spain (for those unfamiliar- 5 weeks spent hiking 500 miles! I know what you’re thinking and I can’t believe I did it either!) Right after that, I moved to Capitola from San Diego, so I would love to hear all of your local recommendations! I am so excited for this new chapter and for the opportunity to spend everyday doing what I love- teaching!

In May 2024, I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A in Cross Disciplinary Studies (Teacher Education) with an emphasis in Visual Art. By December of 2024, I completed my Multiple Subject Credential, as well as my Single Subject Art credential. In my humble opinion, teaching is the most important job in the world and I approach it with a level of care and responsibility reflective of that sentiment!
