Meet Your Teacher

I am excited to learn with your child this year as their 5th-grade teacher. I want to introduce myself and tell you a little about my background. 

I have been teaching for 22 years, most of that time working with grades 4, 5, and 6. I earned my Master’s in Reading/Reading Specialist from Northern Michigan University. I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. My husband and I have moved around a bit (he works for the government), which has given me a lot of valuable experience. 

I am so excited to be at Page and work with such a wonderful team of educators. It’s so nice to find a group whose philosophy of education is so focused on the students and what helps them learn best. They are so dedicated and driven! I feel so lucky to be a part of this wonderful group. 

When I’m not at school, I’m very busy with my own family. I have two children, TWINS! Gia, my daughter, will be attending her third year at Central Michigan University, where she is pursuing a pre-med path.  My son, Dominic, already entered the workforce as a diesel mechanic and currently works for GFL. They love every minute of it!

We love to be outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. I also have a fur baby, who's not really a small baby anymore. He is a 96-pound, all-black German Shepherd, whom I affectionately refer to as “the beast”. It sure can be crazy taking care of everyone and getting out the door on time in the morning, but I love every minute of it!
