Hello Lee library students, friends, and families! I'm so glad you found our page. I will share fun library updates, information, links to literacy resources, library activities, and read alouds. Use the tabs in the upper right corner to get to the 2nd and 3rd grade stories and activities.

The Tree Lady by: H. Joseph Hopkins
This story tells about the life of Kate Sessions, the mother of Balboa Park. It shows how one woman changed the landscape of San Diego. The lessons in the book tie into themes the students have learned during their field trips to Historic Charlton Park, Science lessons about seed dispersal & environment, and March Book Madness.

The students are allowed to check out 1 book each week to start the 3rd week of the school year. Once responsible book checkout is established, we will increase to 2 books. Notices for late books from previous years are being emailed out weekly. Please send in those books, even if they are very overdue. There is never a fine for overdue books. Thanks for your cooperation!

We will begin our Keyboarding Computer curriculum in library later this fall. Information will be sent home once we get started.

Thanks for your support during Spring Book Fair at Lee Elementary. We will be holding our Fall Book Fair during conference week October 10th-October 14th. We will have a sign-up genius for volunteers to help staff the fair. Also, donations for plastic shopping bags will be greatly appreciated!
