Jimmy Lippert Thyden González is an attorney who passionately defends those accused of criminal offenses. He was born in Santiago, Chile and was raised in Arlington Virginia.
He received his Juris Doctorate upon graduation from Syracuse University College of Law. He is furthering his legal expertise into International Human Rights through the Master of Laws Program at American University Washington College of Law. Jimmy earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in interdisciplinary studies focusing on criminal justice, business, and Christian ministries.
Prior to attending law school Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corps for 19 years. He is a combat veteran who has served in over 23 countries overseas. While stationed in California, Jimmy also served as a pastor in his local community of Oceanside, California, and interned as a criminal investigator for the Public Defender office in San Diego California.
While in law school, Jimmy worked with multiple public defender offices throughout New York at both the state and federal level. After graduation he returned to Northern Virginia and served in two Public Defender offices before transitioning into private practice.
Jimmy is admitted to practice in state courts of Virginia as well as the Veteran Court of Appeals and Immigration Courts.
He believes in representing his clients zealously in all cases. Jimmy regularly represents adults charged with felonies and misdemeanors, and appears in juvenile cases as well as minor traffic infractions. He has served on the assigned counsel program in multiple jurisdictions and continues to serve in Loudoun because he believes the best legal services should be available to all people indiscriminate of their social status or economic resources.
Jimmy's hobbies include cooking, reading, woodworking, driving and hiking.
