This is where you can find the Graduate school handbook (which is the holy grail for everything in grad school). Based on the program, departments have their own handbook to follow as well.
General thumb rule - Graduate school handbook trumps all (unless specified by your program). The Grad school policy page is also the perfect source to understand student resources, benefits, NC residency waiver, enrollment policies, classes add/drop dates, UNC ethics and policy, HR resources (1-9 eligibility for international students), financial resources, and general policies related to campus life, travel, teaching, etc. The information keeps updating, so please check back again if needed.
International Students and Scholars Services Portal
Login with ONYEN. This is the best place to look for any policies, conducts, rules, regulations, and any documents relating to international students. This would be the one-stop source for every international student.
Be on the lookout for emails from ISSS as soon as you get admited and create a UNC email. Everything from i20 documents to immunizations, OPT/CPT workshops and seminars, documents during border entry, and check-in after you are here will be handled by ISSS.
Student Employment at UNC Policy

Such as registering for workshops, seminars, talks, etc that are happening on campus. Some of these will be virtual or hybrid. Seats are usually limited for most of these events, especially the in-person ones, so registration beforehand is important.
Most of the events are offered for free for grad students and staff, some may have prerequisites that you need to know before you take them. Sign in through ONYEN to register.
To take a print out or scan any document. Prints can be taken at any library. Fee would be deducted from the default $40 in your UNC One card every semester.
Patient Portal for all services through Campus Health Services. This is only for grad students and staff and not for their dependents.
For those who have UNC Gship or RA/TA or UNC Student Blue insurance.
Other insurances are also accepted at Campus Health as long as you are a student or employee at UNC.
UNC Graduate student insurance does not cover dental care. The school of dentistry has a free student run clinic graduate students are able to attend.
