Hi! My name is Danielle Smith and this is my 16th year teaching at Brighton High School and I teach Computer Science, Coding 1, Coding 2, & AP Computer Science. In addition, I'm a co-sponsor for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and a sophomore homeroom teacher. I look forward to a very productive year.

Standards based grading is a direct reflection of whether or not the student has mastered the standards. Think about standards based grading this way: If you are building a house and your foundation is not solid, your house will have lots of small problems, which will lead to bigger problems, and eventually the house will collapse. If your child does not have a good foundation on this standard(s), then how can you expect them to build on that knowledge?
