I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with my Bachelor of Sciences degree where I majored in Human Development and Family Sciences.  I then completed my Masters in Middle Childhood Education at The Ohio State University in 2007.  I taught for 8 years in Vandalia-Butler.  This is my 9th year in Tipp City!  I have taught 4th, 5th, and 7th grade Math.

I currently live in Tipp City with my wife, daughter (Madilyn) and two sons, (Michael and Jaxon).  Madilyn is entering 8th grade, while Michael is about to begin 5th grade.  Jaxon is getting ready to start 2nd grade.  We have one dog named Margo.

I teach 5th grade Math and Social Studies.  I am a HUGE fan of the following teams: The Ohio State Buckeyes football team, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cleveland Browns.  I am usually told that I have chosen 2 out of 3 correct.  I help coach the high school Cross Country team and love to run.

I believe in educating every child.  I believe the way in which we teach children can greatly influence their achievement.  I believe in choosing activities that relate to the standards as well as the students’ real life.  I believe that these activities should be hands-on.  I believe that using humor in the classroom can greatly increase the sense of community in a classroom as well as enhance the students’ willingness to learn.  I also believe in open communication.  Please reach out to me with any problems that may arise and I will do the same.
