Motorized River Saver Machine Project for Estero, Brgy. 412, Sampaloc, Manila

Motorized "River Saver" Machine (Direct-Drive System Solid Waste and Water Hyacinth Collector) aims to provide an efficient collection and intercepting of floating trash in Metro Manila's estuaries. The major components are a standalone photovoltaic power system, waste trap and interceptor, motor, and floating bin.

The Institute of Integrated Ecological Engineering (IIEE), along with the EE-DSC Volunteers, concluded their first community outreach program at Barangay 386 Hall Quiapo, Manila. It ended on November 12, 2022, simultaneously with the seminar on the topic of "Home Safety and Energy Conservation."
The IIEE would like to thank our IIEE Adviser, Engr. Arturo Zabala, for his full support and guidance in conducting our community outreach program at Barangay 386. Engr. Arturo Zabala helped the people gain knowledge about the ways to conserve electricity and the appropriateness of applying energy-saving appliances in a household. He also discussed some important tips and helpful advices with the people. We are delighted to see the willingness of the attendees to learn, and we appreciate their initiative to participate in our community outreach program and help improve the quality of life in a household. A special thanks to Mr. Jovito Lazo for being with us throughout the event. We are also grateful to Mr. Perfecto Pahignalo and the other volunteers from their barangay for being so cooperative in conducting the seminar. Being in this community is such a great feeling, knowing that you can be there to help them.
