Graduated in 2001, with a Masters degree in Clinical Science, Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario. Cindy was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Upon graduation, Cindy returned home to Kirkland Lake where she and her husband Dan Maille have raised their 2 children Dylan and Kaitlyn.
For the first 18 years of her career, Cindy worked for the Preschool Speech and Language Program first housed with the Timiskaming Health Unit then moved to One Kids Place Children's Treatment Centre.
Cindy has obtained many certifications during her years of practice. Some of these include; Hanen Certified instructor for It Takes Two to Talk, Learning Language and Loving It, More Than Words, and Target Word. She also completed her training to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule -2. Cindy has also taken additional training in the Preschool Fluency Pathway, Auditory Verbal Therapy Level 1 and 2, Picture Exchange Communication Program, Floortime, Lidcombe Stuttering Treatment Program, ABLLS, Talk Tools, and the Kauffman Speech Praxis Approach.
In addition to operating her private practice delivering pediatric speech and language therapy, Cindy holds a part-time position as a Clinical Learning Liaison with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). Cindy also holds faculty status as a Lecturer with NOSM.
Both Cindy and her husband are passionate about helping their community. They have volunteered for many local groups including Rotary, Kirkland Lake Festivals Committee, KLAC, and the Cross-Country Ski Club.
