Hailing from Somersworth, NH, Spencer is an active composer, percussionist, and educator in the Northern New England area.
He received his B.A. (2021) and M.A. (2033) in Music Composition from the University of New Hampshire, and has had pieces commissioned by the Exeter, Merrimack, Bedford, and Spaulding High School Bands.
His choir piece, “The Walking on the Water,” is currently slated to be performed in Germany, France, and South Korea within the coming year.
As a percussionist, Spencer has performed with the New Hampshire Philharmonic, Portsmouth Symphony, Seacoast Wind Ensemble, Portland (ME) Symphony Brass and Percussion, among other ensembles.
As an educator, he has been on the percussion staff of the Spaulding High School Marching Band and the University of New Hampshire Wildcat Marching Band, and this will be his second year teaching percussion at Timberlane.
