Computer Science

Computer Science is a class that requires interactive and visual components to learn to the best of the student's ability.  We already have many interactive learning devices such  as Alien desktop computers, Oculus virtual reality headsets, 3D engraving laser printers, and other tools. As a class, we always try to look for the newest innovations in teaching technology to better prepare the students for careers in the computer science field. Through these learning innovations, students are able to do projects involving computer science, applying their knowledge to real world activities!

About our projects.

In computer science, students have the opportunity to take on many different projects, challenging them to use the skills that they have learned. These projects can vary, all the way from coding robots on how to drive themselves, to telling a laser what to cut on a piece of wood. Some of our student based projects are even sold at the school store!

Projects that we sale.

Students in Computer Science not only do projects for themselves, but also for others to buy. Some of these projects include ornaments, cutting boards, signs, keychains and more.  More details for these products can be found on the top right of this page.

Classroom Technology

3D Printer

Students are able to create 3d objects on a software, and with a material called filament, they can print it out using the 3d printer.

Vinyl Cutter

Using a material called vinyl, students are able to create designs for stickers, decals, shirts, and more. They can  then cut them out using the vinyl cutter.

Glowforge Printer

With the Glow forge printer, student/customer made designs can be cut, scored, and engraved into a piece of wood or acrylic (Examples can be seen on our product pages).

Student Workstations

Students can participate in hands on assignments and projects at our student work station.

Student Computers

Each student is assigned their own computer, and can complete course work, along with projects using them.
