Sabre Coach

Coach Altschul is a nationally rated sabre fencer and Thundercats Alumni (LHS '20).

In 2023, he renewed his rank and qualified for the 2024 Summer Nationals in three divisions.  As a collegiate athlete at the University of Iowa, he placed 2nd in the individual Midwest Regional Collegiate Club Fencing Championships.  

James was captain of the Thundercats sabre team during 2019-2020 and we are excited to have him lead the team again!
