Who are we?

Humans of HVACR is a sector-wide collaboration to humanise and transform what is possibly the most invisible industry, with the greatest potential to reverse global warming: Heating Ventilation Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.

We’re human. We’re changing the story, from ME, machines, materials and money, to a true life story of WE.

We’re warm, friendly and welcoming. We care.

We’re cool, mischievous, and creative. We mix things up. We have fun. We welcome all human changemakers who care about thermal delight and comfort: human-centred designers, engineers, tradies, technicians, artists, storytellers, designers, bureaucrats and even the odd elephant, octopus and marsupial mole.

We’re just the right people to get things done and make the world a better place. Together we’re fearless and unreasonable.

Humans of HVACR was co-founded by Liz Locksley of Thrive Story and AIRAH’s Phil Wilkinson.

Liz is the story and secret sauce mix master. Phil is the party host and chief mischief maker.

Core organisers are: Nathan Groenhout, Kathleen Davies, Natalie Dowling, Claire Bowles and Martin Leitch

We're a living system, inspired by the octopus which has a one head, three hearts, eight legs and many sticky pads.
