Hello! I'm glad you're here
My name is Hafsa and I'm passionate about standing alongside individuals who are feeling lost, confused, and stuck with anxiety, attachment issues, relationships, and life transitions. I believe our past can impact how we show up today in our present. Our thoughts become unhelpful, our relationships harder, and life feels like constantly wearing a heavy weighted blanket.
It doesn't have to be this hard.
As humans, we are in an ever-ongoing process of self-development. It’s hard work to try to understand ourselves and recognize the areas where limiting beliefs are impacting our lives. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based approach with my clients, which means my approach is to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental safe space for you. A space where you’re accepted as you are, and we can work together to gain some insight to move towards healing and growth.
The foundation of therapy is built on the therapeutic relationship (the relationship between you and I). It's important that you are able to trust your therapist and feel comfortable talking with them. Through this relationship, we’ll explore who you are, what you want, and what holds you back. It's impossible for therapists not to bring their personalities into therapy, and mine frequently shows up through warmth, humor, validation, education and empowerment. I do often pull therapy homework from evidence based treatments such as ACT, DBT, and mindfulness practices.
