If you're here, then you must be curious as to who is standing at the front of the classroom. My name is Mr. Steele and this is my 2nd full year teaching 7th grade science. My first year was amazing and I am honored to be here at Fleming to continue encouraging young learners to explore the world around them and discover how they can keep the planet going round.
My degrees are in Health Sciences (Bachelor's) and Secondary Education (Master's). This is my second career, as I was in trauma surgery as a technologist for 23 years before following my passion into the classroom. I still practice once in a while and I love being able to bring the world of surgical medicine into the lessons that I teach as well.
My true passions are fly fishing, the US Forest Service and keeping our planet green. My favorite drink is coffee (little vanilla creamer please!), my favorite snack is anything in front of me and when I am not at Fleming, I am either paddleboarding with my family, reading, fly fishing or exploring the natural world.
I am blessed to have two daughters, Avery (my oldest) and Olivia (the youngest) and am joined by my wife of almost 20 years, Syrena.
