Assignments - 20% of the overall grade

Mr. Kostrna allows students to turn in assignments within that quarter at any point, even well beyond the listed due date. Assignments are valuable as opportunities to grapple with the subject at hand, as well as practice for the unit test.

Tests  - 80% of the overall grade

Every quarter has at least 2 test grades within it. For every test, students are strongly encouraged to correct them for half credit back. To correct a test, the student needs to write the question number of each missed question on a piece of paper. Next to the question number, they should write the correct answer to that missed question. Students may retake any test only after they have corrected it.
