THS Students visit A&M

Just recently Mrs. Barton took a couple students to visit Texas A&M University in college station.

They were shown around campus by a member of the Howdy Crew who made the experience fun with their enthusiasm and energy! They learned a lot about the history and traditions (including the twelfth man) surrounding the campus. While also being informed of campus life and scholarship opportunities.

TCEF HArvest Festival

The Harvest Festival, a community event held in Thrall, not only brings joy and enthusiasm, but  serves as a significant fundraiser for the school. The festival showcases a king and queen from each grade, with this year's winners being Everleigh Naiver and Brody Randig. Various games, such as cornhole, playing in a bouncy house, fishing, watching college football, silent auctions, tattoo making ,and bracelet making were enjoyed by attendees during the Festival. Each grade participates in booths and baskets for the silent auction. As tradition would have it, the seniors on one end and pre-k on the other end of the pavillion, each hosting their own cakewalk.

Bult FOrd Tough

The Ford Built Tough Award is handed out to one player in the state in each classification every week during the Texas high school regular football season. This year one of our players was rewarded for his performance in the Thrall vs Johnson City (LBJ) game which led to a victory for Thrall 56-42. Chance Parker the quarterback for Thrall earned this award in 2A D1 for having a total of 523 yards with 10 completions for 309 yards and 32 carries for 214 yards. We asked him what helped him achieve this goal for this game and he said “We had a really smart game plan and an amazing practice that week and that he and his teammates just executed the game plan very well.” While receiving the award Chance said, “When getting the award he was very shocked and very grateful for the support from his family, his coaches, teammates, and the fans he said they all play a big part in this role and that he couldn’t do it without them.”
