Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend the Christmas Craft Day and Reading Cafe last week. We hope you enjoyed both events as much as the children did.
We have our Early Years (Nursery and Reception) Nativity on Tuesday and Thursday mornings this week. The children (and teachers) have been working hard and we look forward to welcoming you in to watch it. Some of our year 6's are performing tonight at St. Michael's Church in the Bishops Stortford Schools Carol Concert. It is always a wonderful Christmas event.
Children in years 1 to 6 have the panto tomorrow. Thank you in advance to those parents who are walking down with the children.
The PTA AGM is also this week. It is tomorrow night @ 6pm in the school hall. Everyone is welcome.
The current school attendance is 94.8%. This is slightly below the national mark of 94.9%.
We appreciate that there are lots of seasonal illnesses at the moment but if it a minor cough or common cold please send your child in. Attendance is important as it allows children to build on their prior learning. If they are absent for too many days it will affect their attainment and progress.
Please avoid parking or turning round in the Thorn Grove Cul-de-Sac outside of school. It has been bought to our attention many times that at drop off and pick up times it is becoming increasingly dangerous for our pupils. We had a very near miss last week and it is better to park further away and be a couple of minutes late than to cause an injury to someone.
