Dear Parents and Carers,
We look forward to seeing parents of Nursery, Reception, Yr1 & 2 at the Harvest Festival assembly on Wednesday at 9:30am this week.
We hope you will join us in donating much needed food and toiletries for the local Food Bank. Non-perishable goods and especially those that help to make an easy meal (pasta, chopped tomatoes, rice, baked beans, jam, cereal, soup, and tinned fruit) can make a real difference. Please see the email last week for a list of suitable items. Children can bring their donations into school this week and the food bank will collect them on Monday 14th October. We really appreciate your support for those families in need during these challenging times.
Raffle for £1- Fresh produce will also be most acceptable. This will be shared into parcels which will be raffled. The proceeds from this will be given to Grove Cottage. Raffle tickets are being sold from the school office for children and parents to buy at £1 each.
We have two Cambridge University trainee teachers in Reception and Year 2 over the next few weeks.
Parent consultations are week beginning Monday 21st October and bookings will go live this week. Please book a slot for an opportunity to speak to your child’s class teacher. For dates and more information, please speak to the office or your child’s class teacher.

Thank you to those parents who have completed the survey shared via Whats App. The Governing Board will be meeting soon to discuss the responses.
The school football team play their first match this week (weather permitting!). They face a tough start against St. Joseph's on Friday.
We are looking to work with STEP2SKILLS to bring Adult Learning to our School Community and we have an exciting opportunity to run the following workshop, dates to be confirmed.
Supporting Children with Maths – this course is well suited to parents/carers who have children in years 3 – 7. These Adult Only workshops, allows parents/carers to build their confidence in the numeracy that their children will be studying at school, to better equipping them to support their children at home. Please let the office know if you are interested in attending this FREE workshop.

We believe that all parents, carers and trusted adults should be empowered with the information needed to have informed and age-appropriate conversations about online safety with children. For this reason, we take part in National Online Safety’s ‘Wake Up Wednesday’ campaign. Each Wednesday, National Online Safety produce practical, easy-to-follow guides focusing on specific risks that adults should be aware of. These can be found at x.com/wake_up_weds and https://empli.fi/nationalonlinesafety/
