On Saturday it is Thornfest!! Please come along from 12-3pm. Hopefully, the weather is good and the rain stays away!! There will be games, a bouncy castle, raffle, BBQ,
Mr Luck in the stocks and lots more. It is £3 entry for adults and children free.
Class attendances for last week (highest to lowest):

Year 2 - 97.3%
Year 5 - 95.7%
Year 4 - 94.3%
Year 3 - 92.4%

Did you know if your child is late then this can impact their attendance. If your child arrives after 9:15am then this will be an unauthorised absence on your child's record. We appreciate some of you drive and the traffic in town can be problematic however please make every effort to get your children into school on time. Last week there were 45 late marks in the registers.
If your child is between the ages of 7-12 years old and they suffer from mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, stress or any other worries please check out

Some parents will receive letters regarding their childs attendance towards the end of this half term. We will be arranging meetings with the parents where attendance needs improving to see how we can offer support.
In this warmer weather can we remind you to send children in with a sun hat and a water bottle. Please put sun cream on your child before they come to school.
We are excited to let you know that we will be celebrating Heritage Week again this year. This is a great opportunity for the children to share, learn about, and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures and backgrounds within our school community.
Heritage Week will take place from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th June, culminating in a celebration of foods from around the world in the school hall on Friday afternoon.
We would also like to celebrate our children’s home languages by sharing poems, songs, or stories. This can be something short and simple and shared with support from home if needed.
We would like parents and carers to get involved. If you would like to:
Provide a dish for the food celebration, and/or
Share a poem, song, or story in your home language, and/or
Share any ideas

We have signed up with VEGPOWER to promote a positive relationship with healthy food and the whole school will be planting tomatoes seeds this term. Each child will plant their tomato seeds in school in April and repot their tomato plants in to bigger (recycled) pots in June. They will then bring their plants home at the end of term to continue growing over the summer holidays with your support.
