Dear Parents and Carers, 

Science week last week was lots of fun for the children. There was awe and wonder and lots of learning taking place. 

We have open classrooms this week. and we hope you will be able to pop in and see your child's learning. If your children's open classrooms are at the same time you will be able to go between the classrooms. Please enter via the external classroom doors and the timings for each class are:-

• Wednesday 1st May 9:15-9:45am  Reception and Year 1 

• Thursday 2nd May 11.30-12.15 Year 5 

 13.30-14.15hrs Year 4

• Friday 3rd May  9.15-9.45am Year 2 and Year 3

 9:30-10.15am Year 6 

Unfortunately, Mrs Jess is not in school this week so a time and date for nursery will follow.

There is lots going on this term so please make sure you check the diary, or the website for key dates over the coming weeks. The next big PTA event is Thornfest which is on Saturday 11th May from 12-3pm. If you are able to offer some time to help out that would be great even if you can help setting up and tidying away. The PTA will be on the school field from 10am so if you've got 30 minutes or an hour come along and join in. Many hands make light work!

Can we remind drivers not to park near the school car park gates at anytime, this includes anyone who is running late in the mornings: This is for the safety of the children,  which for everyone should be a priority. Also do not walk through the school car park gates if they are open, pedestrians should only enter the school site through the pedestrian gate, this is for the safety of everyone.

Sunrisers and Sunsetters are proving very popular on particular mornings and afternoons.  For this reason, and to avoid disappointment. please make sure you book as early as you can. We will be looking at the demand on particular days over the coming weeks and if necessary may increase staffing to accommodate this.  To make a booking you will you must create an account with Magic Booking, there is a link on the website under Parents, Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs.
